mEET OUR COACHES

Is your skater ready to go to the next level? Private lessons are a great way to advance skating skills. They are tailored to the individual, and keep skaters enthusiastic about improving and reaching their goals, in addition to the Learn to Skate program. We have great coaches to choose from, and can help you select the right coach to fit your needs!

Senior Coaches
Senior Coaches are coaches who hold Professional Coach/Choreographer CER Program certification through the Professional Skating Association. These certification levels allow Senior Coaches to take their private skaters to USFSA sanctioned test sessions, as well as non-qualifying, and qualifying competitions.  Senior Coaches have achieved at least 2 out of the 3 following levels: Senior Moves in the Field, Juvenile Freeskate and/or all 3 Silver Dances. Many Senior Coaches continue to pursue their own skating goals and typically have more years of teaching experience.

Junior Coaches
Junior Coaches are skaters who would like to begin coaching while pursuing their own skating goals.  All Junior Coaches have assisted lead coaches in the Learn to Skate Program, and have taught group lessons during Learn to Skate sessions.  Junior Coaches work closely with a mentor coach to help develop their coaching skills, and complete educational requirements to build their knowledge.  Junior Coaches are able to teach private skaters, and take students to Basic Skills Competitions. They have passed Freeskate 3 or higher and one of the following tests: Pre-Juvenile Freeskate & Juvenile Moves or all 3 Bronze dances.
